Know Us More
Richart St. Barbe Baker:
Read MoreIt is all about a desire, a hope, strong enough to give us the courage to take action, plan, ask for hands, start and achieve a triumph toward a common good, and never underestimate planting a seed — "a seed of hope," hope for safe and green habitat. Hope for developing more sustainably productive communities. And all is about our human mission and an everlasting legacy. We aim to deliver the Earth as a safe place to live in and foster a humanitarian approach to building a better life for our present and future generations.
History of Our Beginnings, Goals, and Actions
TwoWings is a non-profit organization registered since 1996 in Linz, Austria. TwoWings supports small, sustainable education programs that have been established locally. The focus is on the promotion and development of educational opportunities for youth and children, girls and boys. The goal is to enable people to recognize individual strengths and to contribute to the well-being of the whole community. In this way, a better, united, peaceful world can emerge.
The TwoWings Foundation takes pride in advancing global tree-planting efforts with financial backing and heightened awareness through the Planting Hope initiative. Planting Hope supports impactful projects like FUNDAEC's 'Transforming the Environment' and the Inshindo Foundation's 'Environmental Health' program in Zambia. In creating a broad, collaborative impact, we also contribute to other global eco initiatives focused on enriching environmental sustainability, reforestation, skill development, food security, and community well-being.
As a non-governmental organization that takes firm steps toward these role-playing goals, the Foundation for the Application and Teaching of Science (FUNDAEC) Was established in 1974 as a Colombian NGO by Dr. Farzam Arbab and associates from Universidad del Valle in Cali. FUNDAEC is implementing development based on education and the local economy in Colombia.
The Importance and Benefits of Our Mission
The accelerated deterioration of the environment and its effects on humans, plants, and animal species inspired the ‘Planting Hope’ project. The project focuses on the ability of local people, especially girls and women, to make major changes in their lives and the environment by creating opportunities for employment, education, food security, strengthening social bonds, reforestation, urban gardening, and, thus, a sustainable healthy, green, and more beautiful habitat.
